Dr. Abigail Matos, Commander, Puerto Rico DMAT-1 team, National Disaster Medical System, conducts a patient assessment at the Escuela Elemental Urbana in Cidra, Puerto Rico, Oct. 23, 2017. National Disaster Medical System and U.S. Public Health Services personnel were in Cidra conducting community health assessments on the current state of medical care and needs. Most schools throughout Puerto Rico are not open, as they are being used to shelter displaced families.
