171021-N-PM250-1327 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 21, 2017) Hull Technician 2nd Class Joshua Thomas, a Sailor aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44), works on a metal shelf. Gunston Hall is underway in support of exercise Bold Alligator 2017 (#BA17). Improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Allied and partner nations is a necessary investment in the current and future readiness of our forces.
