171021-N-PM250-0788 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 21, 2017) Marines, assigned to 45 Commando Royal Marines, travel down a beach on the Atlantic coast in preparation of the arrival and boarding of landing craft air cushions (LCAC). 45 Commando Royal Marines are on board the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44) in support of exercise Bold Alligator 2017 (#BA17). Improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Allied and partner nations is a necessary investment in the current and future readiness of our forces.
