171021-N-PM250-0628 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 21, 2017) Gas Turbine Systems Technician 1st Class Randy Carmichael, the engineer of landing craft air cushion (LCAC) 54 and attached to Assault Craft Unit 4, prepares LCAC 54 to depart from the well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44). LCAC 54 is on board Gunston Hall in support of exercise Bold Alligator 2017 (#BA17). Improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Allied and partner nations is a necessary investment in the current and future readiness of our forces.
