Calls are directed into the Joint Operation Center (JOC) within the Virgin Islands National Guard Headquarters which serves as dispatch and authorization for all medical evacuations. Following Hurricanes Irma and Maria in the Caribbean, a joint aviation community of National Guard and military-affiliated civilians teamed up to support urgent and medical supply transport missions in the Virgin Islands. A role that combined aerial power, ambulatory capabilities, dispatch and communication.
