Blaise Provitola, Intuitive Surgical Inc. area sales manager, briefs on the capabilities of robotics surgery to Lt. Gen. Mark Ediger, Air Force Surgeon General, and Chief Master Sgt. Steve Cum, Jr., Air Force Surgeon General medical enlisted force chief, during a visit to the clinical research laboratory Oct. 17, 2017, on Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. The purpose of Ediger’s visit was to get familiar with the 81st Medical Group’s mission, operations and personnel. During his tour, he visited more than 10 different units in the 81st MDG to include mammography, emergency department, radiology and oncology, genetics and the clinical research laboratory.
