Chief Warrant Officer Jose Maynes, personnel officer, explains the day's course of events to military spouses and girlfriends, for Jane Wayne Day, held aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., Oct. 13. Throughout the day the ladies got a taste of Marine Corps life as they competed in a modified physical fitness test, shooting competition at the range, visited the Mounted Color Guard and got a tour of the stables where they brushed the horses, then a Railway Operations demonstration.
