Response teams from the Maria ESF-10 PR Unified Command evaluate the post-storm damage from Hurricane Maria in Salinas, Puerto Rico, Oct. 14, 2017.

The teams are taking action to prevent environmental impacts from damaged vessels. The Unified Command is made up of the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources, U.S. Coast Guard and other federal, state, and local agencies.

The ESF 10 is the framework by which federal support is coordinated with state agencies in response to actual or potential oil spills or hazardous material releases.
