Petty Officer 1st Class Ladislao Morales, an aviation machinist's mate and native of McAllen, Texas, shovels up sediment and Chief Petty Officer Jamie Scritchfield, an aviation electronics technician and native of Derby, Kan., removes damaged irrigation lines as they clear debris left in the wake of Japan's massive tsunami. Misawa Air Base chief petty officers and first class petty officers worked together to assist in recovery and clean up efforts in this tsunami-stricken Japanese city. The Misawa Chief Petty Officer Association organized this joint project in support of the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy's "CPO 365" initiative.
