Master Sgt. Timothy C. Jones, the support noncommissioned officer in charge for Headquarters Company, 66th Troop Command, finishes his run during an Army Physical Fitness Test October 14, 2017, at the Northwest Rankin Athletic Association Soccer Complex in Brandon. The APFT is an assessment of the endurance and strength of each Soldier, regardless of their military occupational specialty. Soldiers must complete two minutes of push-ups and sit-ups, and a two-mile run. In order to pass, they must meet at least 60% of the maximum repetitions in each event according to the standards in place for their age and gender. Traditional Guardsmen take an APFT once annually and Active Guard Reserve Soldiers must test twice a year. (Mississippi National Guard photo by Sgt. Connie Jones, 102d Public Affairs Detachment)
