SAN DIEGO (Oct. 12, 2017)- Vice Adm. John D. Alexander, commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet, speaks with Chief Mark Stainbrook, acting vice president, public safety, Port of San Diego, and chief of police, San Diego Harbor Police Department during the Port of San Diego Senior Leadership Seminar, held in conjunction with Fleet Week San Diego at the Pendry Hotel in downtown San Diego. The objective of the SLS is to enhance whole port understanding for Port of San Diego stakeholders inclusive of all levels of government, private and nonprofit sectors, and other partners. Fleet Week offers the public an opportunity to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guard members, and gain a better understanding of how sea services support the national defense of the United States and freedom of the seas.
