The soccer tournament, held during Parramatta’s scheduled port visit to Sasebo, Japan, highlighted the camaraderie and longstanding relationship between the U.S. Navy and RAN. Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
