BREMERTON, Wash. (Oct. 11, 2017) Hospitalman Ashley Fiedler, from Holdrege, Neb., gives an influenza vaccination to Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Sierra Clark, from O'Fallon, Mo., aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). The annual influenza vaccination program is used to both prevent influenza among the crew and rehearse procedures to vaccinate the entire crew in the event of an outbreak of a serious disease. John C. Stennis is in port training for future operations after completing flight deck certification and conducting carrier qualifications.
