Sgt. Richard Spears, of the 212th Engineering Company, Tennessee Army Guard, helps build a schoolhouse with Salvadoran soldiers. Soldiers of the 212th, supported by Army Guard units from around the country, including Air Force and Navy Seabee units, are participating in Beyond the Horizon 2011. The 4-month-long civic assistance and training exercise will help build Salvadoran infrastructure, give U.S. soldiers valuable training and strengthen U.S.-Salvadoran relations.
