Commanders and sergeants major from Marine Corps Installations Pacific (MCIPAC) and III Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) gather at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, for the annual commander’s conference, Oct. 3 to Oct. 5, 2017. The conference provided leaders with a firm understanding of everything that is going on in their area of responsibility. They discussed relevant topics such as the Defense Policy Review Initiative, III MEF’s support to theater Noncombatant Evacuation Operations planning and more. Along with the briefs held at the operational training facility, the trip included social events and a tour of the air station.
