171010-N-PG340-052 CARIBBEAN SEA (Oct. 10, 2017) - The Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) prepares for an underway replenishment with the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS William McLean (T-AKE 12), right, while an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter attached to the “Sea Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 transports cargo during a vertical replenishment near Arecibo, Puerto Rico. One hundred and fifty-eight pallets of cargo were brought on during the replenishment. The Department of Defense is supporting Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
