5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Sept. 30, 2017) Electrician's Mate 1st Class Stephen Demint, from Brownsburg, Ind., receives his Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist qualification certificate from Cmdr. Frank Walter, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Pinckney (DDG 91). Pinckney is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
