SAN FRANCISCO (Oct. 6, 2017) The Canadian Navy flight demonstration squadron, the Snowbirds, flies over Alcatraz Island during Fleet Week San Francisco 2017. The air show showcases world-class civilian performers, military flight demonstration teams, capabilities of the Marine air-ground task force and celebrates the long-standing relationship with the local community. Fleet week provides an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard team and to experience America's sea services. Fleet Week San Francisco will highlight naval personnel, equipment, technology, and capabilities, with an emphasis on humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
