SAN DIEGO (Oct. 4, 2017) – Damage Controlman 3rd Class Coleman Johnson, a Sailor aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), uses a circular saw to cut a piece of wood to install a new fence during a Habitat for Humanity community relations (COMREL) event. The COMREL was an opportunity for Sailors to renovate the home of retired Chief Quartermaster Ray Chavez, the oldest living survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
