A cross with the name of a 10th Mountain Division Soldier who was killed in action atop Mount della Spe, Italy, stands outside of a still present fighting position on October 1. A group of Soldiers from the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division (LI), were on a tour that retraced the history of their Division by visiting WWII battlefields and signifcant sites to gain a deeper understanding, appreciation, and connection to the Division.
