SAN FRANCISCO (Oct. 4, 2017) Department of Defense personnel, San Francisco first responders, and San Francisco Olympic Club members have dinner together at an awards ceremony for the 52nd Annual Admiral Nimitz Match marksmanship competition during Fleet Week San Francisco. The competition, part of Fleet Week San Francisco, consisted of rifle and pistol events and featured teams from the Department of Defense, local law enforcement, and the San Francisco Olympic Club. Fleet week provides an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard team and to experience America's sea services. Fleet Week San Francisco will highlight naval personnel, equipment, technology, and capabilities, with an emphasis on humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
