171003-N-PG340-072 SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Oct. 3, 2017) – Dr. Rafael Rodriguez, Puerto Rico Secretary of Health, comes aboard Military Sealift Command's hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) for the medical summit held with local and federal stakeholders to synchronize efforts for the ship’s mission of providing humanitarian assistance throughout the area. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the head federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
