Camp Pendleton (September 29, 2017) The command element of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit pause for a 30 second gear adjustment during a conditioning hike on Camp Pendleton, California. The purpose of the conditioning hike is to target key areas, which are involved with propelling the body forward while also improving cardiovascular fitness, endurance, flexibility, strength and most importantly unit cohesion.
