Jesse Ford, the Combat Cargo Assistant attached to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), assists a Marine with his life preserver prior to being transported to amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit is embarked on the America Amphibious Ready Group and is deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
