MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Sept. 28, 2017) – A UH-1Y Huey, attached to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s (MEU) Aviation Combat Element, retrieves pallets from the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Leroy Grumman (T-AO 195) during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS) with the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), Sept. 28, 2017. During a RAS, the ship receives food, supplies and parts needed to maintain or repair the ship and aircraft while at sea. San Diego is deployed with the America Amphibious Ready Group and 15th MEU to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.(U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
