During operational readiness exercise Beverly Midnight 11-02, Capt. Kyle Crosby, 36th Squadron pilot, completed his water survival training evaluation, here March 14. The evaluation consisted of one-on-one scenarios requiring a member to lift oneself into a one-person raft, identify three points of air entry to inflate the sides, demonstrate a canapé disentanglement technique by following a parachute line under water that lead the pilot to a clear area, simulating the experience of being caught under a parachute while in the water. The final task was being dragged by a pulley through the water mimicking the feeling of wind catching the canopy of the parachute and dragging the pilot through water.
