Tanesha Wilcox, animal caretaker lead, takes control of a dog after volunteer Kinoshita Toshiya returns it from a walk. The kennel, along with volunteers, is prepared to help service members take care of their pets while their families are stateside during the voluntary departure. The Department of Defense has authorized the departure from Japan as a precautionary measure in consideration for the safety of DoD personnel and dependents in the area.
