    Retired Lt. Gen. Ernest Graves and his wife, Nancy Graves, stand behind the plaque from the April 29, 1957 dedication of SM-1 nuclear reactor and power plant. During their visit on Tuesday September 19, 2017 with Department of Defense officials, Mrs. Graves recalled the last time she stood at this plaque with her husband more than sixty years prior. Tour attendees included, from left to right Chris Gardner, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District; John Lonnquest, USACE, Headquarters Office of History; Brenda Barber, USACE, Baltimore District; Brian Hearty, USACE, Headquarters, Deactivated Nuclear Power Plant Program; Col.
