The 932nd Airlift Wing’s Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron flew aboard a medical practice training flight on Sept. 23, 2017, in a C-17 aircraft, provided by the 512th Airlift Wing from Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. After taking off from Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, 1st Lt. Liz Erdman, 932nd AES flight nurse, listens to Staff Sgt. April Richardson read through the Air Force Instructions covering medical issues. The C-17 Globemaster III plane has a maximum payload capacity of 170,900 pounds and its maximum gross takeoff weight is 585,000 pounds.
