A U.S. Army Paratrooper, deployed in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve and assigned to the 407th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, receives an Army Commendation Medal from Maj. Gen. Robert White, commander of the Combined Joint Forces Land Component Command and the 1st Armored Division, at Qayyarah West Airfield, Iraq, Aug. 29, 2017. The 2nd BCT, 82nd Abn. Div., enables Iraqi security force partners through the advise and assist mission, contributing planning, intelligence collection and analysis, force protection and precision fires to achieve the military defeat of ISIS.
