Pfc. Matthew R. Stewart, a cannoneer with the 1-143rd Field Artillery Regiment, loads an M119 Howitzer during a rehearsal for the 40th Infantry Division’s change of command at the Joint Force Training Base in Los Alamitos, California, Sept. 16. Stewart was focused on practicing his skills before leaving for his first deployment, scheduled just a few days after the ceremony and the Division’s 100th anniversary celebrations.
