Ashley Paterson, a native of Satellite Beach, Fl., and a medic assigned to the 602nd Area Support Medical Company, 261st Multifunctional Medical Battalion, 44th Medical Brigade, Fort Bragg, N.C., sanitizes medical equipment as part of the daily medical duties aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), Sept. 19, 2017, in the Caribbean Sea. Service members cross-trained on the USS Kearsarge as they prepare to assist with relief efforts following hurricanes Irma and Maria.
