Two SH-60 Helicopters from Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron 14 arrive almost simultaneously here at Naval Air Facility Misawa, Japan. HS-14 repositioned its assets from Naval Air Facility Atsugi to NAF Misawa in order to better support Operation Tomodachi. Operation Tomodachi (Japanese for “friendship”) involves 14 U.S. Navy ships, more than 100 aircraft and thousands of U.S. service members assisting with disaster relief and humanitarian development assistance.
