ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 19, 2017) Capt. James R. Midkiff, commanding officer of the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), is presented with the Legion of Merit award by Rear Adm. Samuel Paparo, commander, Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 10, during a change of command ceremony held in the hangar bay of the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). During the ceremony, Capt.
