Louisiana Guardsmen of the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team who returned in January from a year of duty in Iraq receives the Louisiana War Cross medal from Maj. Gen. Bennett C. Landreneau, adjutant general of the Louisiana National Guard, at a Yellow Ribbon reintegration program, March 6. The congressionally mandated Yellow Ribbon program provides information, services, referrals and proactive outreach programs to service members of the National Guard and their families through all phases of the deployment cycle.
