Lance Cpl. Steven Reppen and Gunnery Sgt. Josh Wallace, both CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter crew chiefs with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, conduct post-flight checks after landing here March 15. Two of the squadron’s helicopters transported pallets of meals-ready-to-eat to Sendai, Japan in support of Operation Tomodachi. The proximity of Marine aviation assets at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma has allowed Marines from III MEF to rapidly deploy critically-needed supplies and aid to areas that need it most.
