170915-N-GV721-042 SAN DIEGO (Sept. 15, 2017) Lt. j. g. Michael Lanz, assigned to amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), gives the invocation during a chief petty officer pinning ceremony at Commander, U.S. Third Fleet Headquarters. The pinning ceremony was the culmination of six weeks of training and indoctrination during CPO 365, phase II. Boxer is currently in its homeport undergoing a phased-maintenance availability period.
