Soldiers from Company A, 1-376th Aviation (Security & Support) Regiment, flew four Nebraska Army National Guard UH-72 Lakota helicopters to Jacksonville, Florida, as part of an emergency management assistance compact request for Hurricane Irma relief and recovery operations.
The company has been using the Lakota helicopters to conduct reconnaissance survey missions along swollen rivers in northern Florida. While on their missions, the Soldiers take collect information and ensure no civilians in the affected areas are stranded or in distress.
