    455th Air Expeditionary Wing

Staff Sgt. Donterrio Erby, 455th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aerospace propulsion craftsman, removes bolts from a segment of an F-16 Fighting Falcon engine at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Sept. 5, 2017. The outer engine segment is removed in order to access a damaged turbine fan blade. A turbine fan repair would normally involve shipping the engine to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, but the team was qualified to make the repairs in theater.
