Scott Suhr, an infantryman from Olin, Iowa, with Company B, 1st Battalion, 133rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, works through a drill March 10 at the gym at Forward Operating Base Torkham Gate, Afghanistan. Suhr, who has an amateur mixed martial arts record of 8-4 is not losing sight of his professional fighting aspirations during his year-long deployment to Afghanistan.
