SAN DIEGO (Sep. 11, 2017) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115) transits the San Diego Bay while departing for a regularly scheduled underway. Rafael Peralta, named for Marine Corps Sgt. Rafael Peralta, was commissioned July 29th, 2017 and is the newest destroyer in the U.S. Navy’s fleet.
