Command Sgt. Maj. Lester Edwards of Mechanicsburg, Illinois, command sergeant major for the 108th Sustainment Brigade, the transportation companies’ commanding brigade, thanks Soldiers Sept. 12 for their dedication and preparedness in being ready to mobilize at a moment’s notice. Nearly 160 Soldiers, more than 60 vehicles and equipment laden with supplies, were ready to support hurricane recovery operations less than 24 hours after notification.
