KEY WEST, Fla. (Sept. 12, 2017) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) personnel embark an SH-60S, assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squad (HMH) 461, bound for the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) during humanitarian assistance efforts in Key West, Florida. The Department of Defense is supporting FEMA, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Irma to minimize suffering and as one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
