U.S. Army Pfc. Jerry Phin of the 82nd Airborne Division Sustainment Brigade from Fort Bragg, N.C., prepares for a convoy from Fort Stewart, Georgia, to Camp Blanding, Florida, Sept. 12.
Phin is one of many Soldiers heading south with Task Force All American Lift to support The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the state of Florida in Hurricane Irma relief.
Phin, a Stockton, California, native, said this is his first mission supporting natural disaster relief.
"We are helping people who need the help right now," Phin said.
