Workers from the Cajun Army out of Louisiana, rest at the First Baptist Church in Port Neches, Texas, Sept. 8, after a days work. Since Hurricane Harvey carved it's destructive path through Texas, several Texas NG units and civilian volunteers were given room and board at the church for the duration of their efforts to render service and get essential supplies to storm victims, demonstrating the joint nature of the relief effort.
"The people of the First Baptist Church as well as the entire Port Neches community have been more than hospitable and generous," said 2nd Lt. Daniel Miller, a cavalry scout serving with the 112th. "The ability to have a comfortable place to wind down after working all day was great for morale." (U.S. Army National Guard Photo by Sgt. Ariel Solomon, 128th MPAD)
