Dungan Farver, 16th Airlift Squadron loadmaster, performs a preflight inspection prior to the takeoff of one of the final C-17 Globemaster IIIs out of Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina in preparation for Hurricane Irma Sept. 8, 2017. After departing Charleston the aircrew flew to MacDill Air Force Base, Florida to pick up an En-Route Patient Staging System and a 15-person medical team.
