NORFOLK, Va. (Sept. 8, 2017) Sailors assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28 conduct pre-flight inspections on MH-60S Sea Hawks onboard Naval Station Norfolk, Va. HSC-28 departed Naval Station Norfolk to embark aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) in preparation for potential hurricane relief efforts. The preparations ensure Iwo Jima is ready to respond to any requests to bolster Northern Command’s support of Federal Emergency Management Agency’s assistance to federal, state and local authorities’ ongoing relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.
