Cpl. Keith Defino, a vehicle recovery operator with Motor Transport platoon, 2nd Amphibious Assault Battalion, fires a .50 caliber machine gun on an AMK-23 7-ton armored vehicle after Gunnery Table Five at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Sept. 7-9. The range focused on disassembling and assembling the .50 caliber machine gun mounted on the vehicle, using the weapon properly and adhering to weapon safety rules. The Marines cross-trained on the vehicles they routinely service to familiarize them and provide the ability to fill in for a fallen Marine in a combat scenario. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
