Petty Officer 3rd Class Christopher Shepardpearson, electronics technician, receives the traditional first kiss from his wife after the fast attack submarine USS Memphis returned home to Naval Submarine Base New London. Memphis completed its final overseas mission to the U.S. European Command area of responsibility and is scheduled to be decommissioned at Submarine Base New London April 1.
