Sailors assigned to USS Anchorage (LPD 23) organize bread prior to serving them to homeless residents of greater Los Angeles at St. Francis Center as part of LA Fleet Week 2017, Aug. 31. LA Fleet Week is an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard team and experience America's sea services. During fleet week, service members will participate in various community service events, showcase capabilities and equipment to the community, and enjoy the hospitality of Los Angeles and surrounding areas have to offer.
